The band was formed in 2008. The music they composed and performed since then, earned them awards in many prestigious festivals, such as: Student Song Festival in Kraków, YAPA in Łódź, Wojtek Bellon Festival. Chwila Nieuwagi have been also qualified twice to the finals of the most important folk music festival in Poland: New Tradition Polish Radio Festival (Nowa Tradycja Radiowej Dwójki). The band was chosen to represent Poland during Czech Music Crossroads Festival 2017, which is a folk part of Colours of Ostrava.
The band's discography includes three studio albums. Their songs appeared also on several music compilation albums.
The most important area of the band's artistic performance are their concerts which always receive a very good and energetic audience response. Chwila Nieuwagi's music was guest to many prestigious Polish stages (e.g. National Centre of Polish Song in Opole, The Agnieszka Osiecka Music Studio of Polish Radio, The House of Music and Dance in Zabrze or Woodstock Festival Poland) and also to the new famous Czech club Heligonka.
