Mosaik (formerly Mosaic) creates a unique space in which wild Slavic roots music finds a common language with the Middle East and Africa.
Mosaik is a Polish band playing world music, and featuring historical and ethnic instruments. Polish archaic songs and melodies, as well as music of the Middle East and Africa, has been Mosaik’s main inspiration since 2007, when the group was founded. Mosaik has been awarded at "New Tradition" Polish Radio Festival and the International Folk Festival “Mikołajki Folkowe”. The band participated in important world music festivals, such as: Warsaw Cross Culture (with Al-Andaluz Project), Ethnoport, Globaltica, London International Arts Festival, Musicport, Delhi International Arts Festival. They featured also in the international projects, such as Korean-Polish Jazz Mosaics and New Zealand film production “No Man's Land” illustrating John Psathas's composition.
