The band had lots of capability, the rare and interesting repertoire.
The original line-up consisted of four well-known musicians: Jacek Apanasewicz (concertina), Wiktor Bartczak (guitar) , Grzegorz Lewtak (mandolin and chalumeau) and Jerzy Ozaist (lead vocal). They quickly became one the best traditional groups in the country, even though they didn’t tour a lot. Their first CD, called simply ‘1’ gained lots of good reviews and fans’ interest.
In 2008, Piotr Lasko joined the band (Breton bagpipes and accordion). The experienced folk musician with Breton maritime background enhanced the band’s sound. For some time the band continued to tour and the recording sessions for the second CD was planned.
In 2011 Wiktor Bartczak left the band and was replaced by Przemyslaw Maruchacz; soon afterwards, two other original members announced they would depart: Jacek Apanasewicz and Grzegorz Lewtak. For many fans that came as a shock.
The remaining members found a replacement: the band was joined by Emil Kulbacki (clarinet). As the band leader Jerzy Ozaist said in 2012 “We get on OK with each other and enjoy our work together. Think we’ve had enough line-up changes for now”.
Since then the band managed to significantly extend their repertoire, which they are planning to record and release on the band’s 2nd CD.
