Othalan – Polish band performing folk metal and early music, existing since 2013. In his work, he refers to Slavic, Scandinavian and highland culture. The unique nature of the group's music consists of whistle, hurdy gurdy or oboe.
In the second half of 2013, a debut demo was released (in an digital version) "Daybreak/Predawn"(Przedświt). In December 2013, the band received the title of the finalist of the festival "Synestezje", in which he played his first concert. The following years of the year provided much more opportunities for concerts - Othalan supported, among others, Silent Stream of Godless Elegy, Percival or GRAI. The team received the title of finalists of the competition OtherCenter (Artist of the Week), a song entitled "Kowal" won the first place in the 122 list of the Radio Orbit charts. In 2015, the band won the first place ex aequo in the "Zagraj na IGRACH" competition.
The work of the group appeared in about 9 radio programs (including on Radio "Trójce", Radio RockTime, Radio ProRock, Radio Katowice and Radio Opole). In the last two years, Othalan supported, among others, T.Love and De Mono, he also gave concerts during the Slavic Folk-Metal Night(Słowiańska Noc Folkmetalowa) three times. In 2017, the band's debut album was released - "Po krańce gór"(To the End of Mountains).
