S.H.A. are three women: Susanna Jara, Hanka Wójciak, Agata Siemaszko. They are the leaders of their own formation, they give concerts, release CDs, on their way they have been winning the most important festivals in Poland. Within the S.H.A., they stand together and support each other.
S.H.A. is a meeting stemming from the feeling of belonging to multicolour, divided and, nevertheless, shared cultural place which is the characteristic part of the Middle-Eastern Europe where all of them are from, and to which a festival of WOMEX S.H.A. is going to come. It is a multivoice singing in seven languages and dialects (Ukrainian, Lemko, Slovak, Romanian, Rusyn, Polish, including the dialect of Górale – the Mountain Inhabitants).
S.H.A. comprises authorial and traditional songs. The artists share what they love, what they feel attached to. Simultaneously they use their common Galician roots. Creativity of the ensemble crosses borders of the contemporary countries, it is a clear manifest of intercultural identity of each of the co-creator. In S.H.A., as in a lens, the value of cultural diversity reflects which is the basis for building musical unity in a dialogue. The songs experienced together carry reflection, joy and hope relating to complex but often common history of their Slavic cultural groups.
