S.I.E. was founded in 2012 by Piotr Stefański in Skarżysko-Kamienna as a group of students from his ethnic drums class. Soon it occured, that he became a witness of something unusual originated.

Music played by S.I.E. is a unique mixture of powerful rhythmic section made of ethnic drums such as djembe, dun-dun and conga, combined with melodic section consisting of modern electronic sounds, bass guitar, trumpet, didgeridoo and contrastive vocals. The journalist called it psychofolk. It combines traditional, ethnic elements from Africa, Brasil and Australia with characteristic way of playing music themes from Świętokrzyskie Mountains, one of the oldest mountains in Europe, with ancient Łysica Mountain – home of witchcrafts and ancient pagan place of power. Concert is a spectacle full of strong emotions with very personal connection with the audience.

The band is the winner of Skoda Auto Muzyka competition. The main price was live concert at the “Trójka” radio, the most famous Polish radiostation with alternative music. In 2014 S.I.E. was chosen for the Cross Culture Festival in Warsaw in Sonds Like Poland section.

Additionaly that the band is open for any kind of cooperation with musicians, i.e. BuskerBus Festival 2017, when the band invited random, international musicians to cooperate with them on one stage or concerts with such musicians as G. Calvin Weston, Henryk Gembalski, Krzysztof Majchrzak or Gaspard Conde.
