Multi-instrumentalist who has a collection of over 300 different instruments from all over the world: hurdy-gurdies, various flutes, string (plucked, bowed) and wind instruments, percussions, and many, many more. Using his collection, a looper and some electronics he creates music which can be described as ethno-alternative.
T.ETNO (Tomasz Drozdek) regularly performs in Poland and sometimes abroad, organizes music workshops and builds his own instruments. He is also a member of a few music bands performing different music styles. He cooperates/ed with choirs (e.g. ProForma choir from Olsztyn, Polish Radio Choir from Kraków); performed as a soloist (ethnic instruments) in „Etnos” composed by Szymon Godziemba-Trytek, the symphony work which was recorded by the Polish Radio in May 2017.
He creates music for radio programmes (e.g. Polish Radio 3), theatre performances and films. He is a member of a widely-recognized in Poland comedy group called MUMIO. In their newest theatre performance he plays live music with the use of about 20 different instruments. He is regularly invited to take part in different music enterprises; he participated in a number of recordings. He co-operates with musicians from Poland and abroad. In 2014 he took part in a music project with Roger Treece, an American musician, and music producer, who works with Bobby McFerrin. In 2015 Rohit Sen Gupta, an Indian singer and music producer, took part in recording his solo album „(u)Twory”.
Tomasz Drozdek (T.ETNO) plays many different instruments from all over the world, e.g.: hurdy-gurdy, handpan, psaltery, jaw harps, guzengh, differents types of zithers, psaltry, dulcimers, differents types of flutes and overtone flutes, harmonium, different types of percussions and many, many more... On one of his studio albums he used more than 50 different instruments.
